With a career spanning more than forty years, Kieran began his journey in the joinery industry as an apprentice with GEM Joinery in 1985. Over the years, his technical knowledge and leadership have propelled him through various roles; starting as Mill Manager in 1998, advancing to General Manager in 2005, and joining the Board of Directors in 2007.

Kieran’s skills in AutoCAD, value engineering, fit-out coordination, and project control are truly exceptional. He consistently provides invaluable technical oversight on complex joinery projects, ensuring that every detail of design is executed with both precision and efficiency. His unwavering commitment to quality and innovation has played a pivotal role in maintaining GEM Joinery’s reputation for excellence.

His dedication and expertise have been instrumental in shaping GEM Joinery’s legacy, even as he continues to drive the company forward, striving to realise design intent and deliver outstanding results for every client.

As Managing Director of GEM Joinery, Nigel leverages over 16 years of expertise in bespoke joinery and quantity surveying. Since joining the firm in 2010, he has been instrumental in its evolution, advancing from Commercial Manager to Commercial Director before stepping into his current Managing Director role in early 2026. This progression reflects his deep understanding of the joinery industry and his mastery of the operational complexities required to deliver high-end projects.

As Managing Director, Nigel now provides strategic vision and overall leadership for GEM Joinery, working alongside the senior management team to align strategy, ensure quality standards and operational excellence. His focus is on building a resilient, well‑structured organisation that delivers quality outcomes and sustainable long‑term growth. Efficiency, transparency, and value underpin Nigel’s approach, reinforcing GEM Joinery’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and strong, long‑term client relationships.

Our Financial Controller, Kieran, blends deep financial expertise with strategic insight. His role is pivotal in steering our ongoing success and growth for Gem Joinery.

Damien brings extensive experience in manufacturing, production management, and business operations within the joinery and fit out sectors. As the Head of Operations at GEM Joinery, Damien oversees the day-to-day operations of the business, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, quality control, and team leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

As an accomplished and results-driven individual, with a proven track record of improving processes, reducing costs, and increasing productivity, Damien has played a key role in driving continuous improvement across the business. He works closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery from design through to manufacture and installation.

Known for strong leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning, Damien is committed to maintaining GEM Joinery’s reputation for quality, reliability, and professionalism. Damiens hands-on approach and deep industry knowledge makes him an integral part of the company’s ongoing growth and success.

As the Head of Commercials, Gabriel leads the commercial management of joinery projects from the tender stage all the way through to final account. His role encompasses the overseeing of all commercial aspects of the business, including tendering, cost planning, contract administration, and financial reporting. Focused on protecting margin, managing risk, and ensuring strong cash flow, while leading the commercial team and driving consistent, commercially sound outcomes across all projects. His diligent approach ensures that each project is delivered within budget while meeting client expectations.

Since joining the company in 2012, Denis has played a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. With remarkable leadership, Denis oversees a talented team of 30 skilled joiners, ensuring every piece of bespoke furniture and joinery we produce meets the highest standards for a diverse range of clients.

Denis’ commitment to quality and his ability to guide the team through complex projects truly set him apart. We’re proud to have him leading our production efforts, and his expertise continues to be a cornerstone of what we offer at GEM Joinery.

David manages the coordination and execution of joinery contracts across various projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. His role includes detailed programme planning, effective subcontractor management, and overseeing site logistics. David also makes sure that all projects meet strict quality and safety standards, keeping compliance a top priority. His approach is always focused on delivering work efficiently and in alignment with client requirements.

As a Project Manager, Tomasz contributes remarkably to the coordination and delivery of our joinery contracts across multiple projects. Tomasz’s dedication to programme planning stands out—He is consistently keeping a vigilant eye on every aspect of subcontractor management, ensuring each stage is executed with precision and efficiency. His proactive, hands-on approach to site logistics has proven invaluable, keeping our operations smooth and right on schedule. What really distinguishes Tomasz is his unwavering commitment to quality and safety. Tomasz consistently goes above and beyond on everyday operational duties, striving to not only meet but often exceed the highest standards in each project. His meticulous attention to detail means our work regularly surpasses expectations, all while maintaining the client’s needs as a central priority in every decision.

Padraig is the Chief Estimator at GEM Joinery, and one of our longest-serving team members. Padraig leads our estimating department, where he oversees the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for projects of all sizes. His extensive industry knowledge, coupled with decades of experience, allows him to play a pivotal role in early-stage project planning, cost analysis, and value engineering. Padraig’s expertise ensures that our clients always receive well-considered estimates and solutions tailored to their needs.

As our Senior Estimator, Darran plays a key role in our team. He brings a wealth of industry experience to the table and is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for bespoke joinery projects. His expertise lies in ensuring precision with pricing, conducting thorough material take-offs, and performing comprehensive analysis of subcontractor quotes. This attention to detail supports the delivery of proposals that are both competitive and commercially robust, helping us to consistently meet our clients’ expectations.

As the Procurement Manager and Document Control Lead at GEM Joinery. Ladi is dedicated to overseeing the procurement process from start to finish, making sure that all materials and supplies are sourced efficiently and align perfectly with the specific needs of each project.

Beyond managing supplier relationships and coordinating purchasing schedules, Ladi also plays a crucial role in maintaining precise and up-to-date project documentation. His commitment to detail helps ensure that everything we do remains compliant with our internal quality and audit standards. Ladi’s expertise and proactive approach truly contribute to the smooth running of our operations.

David has recently been promoted to Technical Coordinator at Gem Joinery. An International Award-Winning Master Carpenter and a dedicated team leader, bringing over 25 years of experience to our organization. In his new role, David will be leading our design team and overseeing the development of detailed drawings and technical solutions for bespoke joinery projects.

David’s expertise ensures that every project receives careful attention to accuracy, practicality, and alignment with both client requirements and our manufacturing capabilities. He works closely with clients, architects, and our production team to make sure all designs meet project specifications and deliver exceptional results.
