Kieran Rigney brings over four decades of experience in the joinery industry, having begun his career with GEM Joinery in 1985 as an apprentice. His deep technical knowledge and leadership have seen him rise through the ranks—appointed Mill Manager in 1998, General Manager in 2005, and joining the Board of Directors in 2007. Kieran is highly skilled in AutoCAD, value engineering, fit-out coordination, and project control. He plays a pivotal role in providing technical oversight on complex joinery projects, ensuring that design intent is realised with precision and efficiency.

His long-standing commitment to quality and innovation continues to shape GEM Joinery’s reputation for excellence.

Nigel brings over 15 years of specialised experience in bespoke joinery, underpinned by a strong foundation in quantity surveying. Since joining GEM Joinery in 2010, he has steadily progressed through key commercial roles—appointed Commercial Manager in 2018 and promoted to Commercial Director in 2020. At GEM Joinery, Nigel leads the commercial function across all projects, overseeing cost control, financial reporting, and contract management from tender through to final account. His leadership ensures that every project is commercially robust, strategically managed, and aligned with client expectations.

Nigel’s approach is rooted in delivering value through efficiency, supporting GEM Joinery’s commitment to quality, transparency, and long-term partnerships.

Paddy joined GEM Joinery in 2003 as a Site Manager and became Contracts Manager in 2008 before being appointed Operations Director. He is a qualified carpenter with extensive project delivery experience and is responsible for overseeing site operations, programme management, and health & safety compliance.

Our Financial Controller, Kieran, blends deep financial expertise with strategic insight. His role is pivotal in steering our ongoing success and growth for Gem Joinery.

Damien leads the delivery of all joinery projects at GEM, overseeing site teams, subcontractors, and client coordination from pre-construction through to completion. With strong technical expertise and a hands-on management style, he ensures projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and programme performance.

Dennis joined GEM Joinery in 2012 and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility. He leads a team of 30 skilled joiners, overseeing the production of high-quality bespoke furniture and joinery for a broad range of clients.

Gabriel is responsible for the commercial management of joinery projects from tender stage through to final account. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, he oversees cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in line with client expectations.

Nick manages the coordination and execution of joinery contracts across multiple projects. As Contracts Manager, he is responsible for programme planning, subcontractor management, site logistics, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. His focus is on delivering projects efficiently and in line with client requirements.

Maciej leads the design team at GEM Joinery, overseeing the development of detailed drawings and technical solutions for bespoke joinery projects. He works closely with clients, architects, and the production team to ensure all designs are accurate, practical, and aligned with project specifications and manufacturing capabilities.

Ladi oversees procurement and document control processes at GEM Joinery, ensuring all materials and supplies are sourced efficiently and in line with project requirements. In addition to managing supplier relationships and purchasing schedules, Ladi is responsible for maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring compliance with internal quality and audit standards.

Darran is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions across a wide range of bespoke joinery projects. With extensive industry experience, he ensures accuracy in pricing, material take-offs, and subcontractor analysis, supporting the delivery of competitive and commercially sound proposals.

Padraig is GEM Joinery’s Chief Estimator and one of the company’s longest-serving team members. He leads the estimating department, overseeing the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for projects of all sizes. With deep industry knowledge and decades of experience, Padraig plays a key role in early-stage project planning, cost analysis, and value engineering.
