Project Overview

GEM Joinery was appointed by Flynn Management & Contractors to deliver the full specialist joinery package for Roe & Co Distillery — a standout commercial fitout within the former Guinness Power Station.

Working closely with RKD Architects and Diageo, we developed detailed production drawings from early concept images to guide the manufacturing and installation process. The project called for a high level of craftsmanship and coordination across several specialist elements. Key features included:

  • A statement main bar with an aged copper countertop, bespoke oak shelving, and painted copper fins
  • Solid oak masterclass and demonstration benches with stainless steel worktops
  • A curved display wall housing over 100 LED-lit compartments for Roe & Co whiskey bottles
  • A custom blending table made from aged copper, back-painted glass, solid oak, and copper-effect MDF
  • Leather-upholstered booth seating finished with painted copper fins overhead
  • This was a detail-driven project in a high-profile space, delivered on time and within budget.
