Project Overview

GEM Joinery was awarded the contract for the design, supply, and installation of specialist joinery and micro-kitchen units across Google’s landmark EMEA Headquarters in Dublin. The multi-building campus includes the 14-storey Google Docks, the tallest commercial building in Dublin, with each floor uniquely themed around a specific Google function.

Working from architectural concepts developed by Camenzind Evolution and Henry J. Lyons, GEM Joinery played a key role in realising the internal vision — contributing detailed technical design and fabrication expertise to meet ambitious environmental, aesthetic, and programme goals. Key features included:

  • Bespoke joinery throughout themed office floors and central collaboration hubs
  • Custom-designed micro-kitchens for staff use across multiple floors
  • Tailored floor finishes, curtain installations, and feature joinery including large-scale Google letters
  • Use of sustainable materials aligned with LEED Gold and Platinum certification targets
  • The project required strict adherence to Google’s environmental and wellness standards, as well as high-speed delivery across multiple phases.
